12hrs of Rim Nordic - Pre-race Updates and Information

This weekend marks the first ever 12hrs of Rim Nordic, the second event of the Socal Endurance Series. Jason Ranoa always puts on a great event so you can be sure this one will be no different. I've grabbed his news letter and posted all of the info here.

Well folks we are days away from the very first "12 Hours Of
Rim Nordic" We are very excited to get this event under way!

A few notes: Camping at the event is
available for first come first served. The camping at the event is in the Snow
Valley parking lot. There are over 800 spaces available at Snow Valley. So space
shouldnt be an issue. There are no parking fees for the event. But camping fees
are $20 per night. There will be race staff on hand to collect fees.

Event parking: Parking is also
staged in the Snow Valley parking lot. There will be no parking allowed at the
venue area. There will be an equipment drop off and pick up area within the
gates at the venue. Please keep in mind this area is for quick transitions of
equipment. No parking in this area at all!

Pit areas: There are 2 designated
pit areas for racers and support teams. The main venue area adjacent to the race
course is for general team use. The area marked as solo pits only will be
strictly for solo riders. The venue area will be open for pit setup starting
friday afternoon. Remeber it is first come first served. The best pit stops will
be had by the early birds. So get em while their hot!!!!

Food and Bike supplies: Rim Nordic
will have their bike shop open for anything you need for your bike. Please keep
in mind this is more of a pro shop than a full on bike shop. Rim Nordic will
also have the grills ablazing for you guys. Look for all that good race food as
the day gets long. They will also have an abundance of cold drinks for you tired
racers.

Event WAIVERS: All racers must
complete registration with a paper copy of the event waiver. You can find a
waiver here:http://socalendurance.com/files/2008_Accident_Waiver_word_doc-Rim_Nordic2009.docor you can pick up a copy at the event. All team mates must complete
check in prior to the team recieving race numbers. All teams must complete
waivers signed from all team mates in order to recieve race numbers. A team
captain may check a team in and pick all team packets and race numbers with all
signed waivers in hand. All teammates must be present at the begining of the
race!

On Site registration: On site registratio
starts Friday afternoon at 4:30 and goes till 6:30pm. The day of registration
starts at 6:30am and goes till 7:30am. Please get their early and help to make
the event run as fast an easy as possible. Have your waivers signed and ready
for check in.

MANDATROY MEETING FOR ALL RACERS: There will be a mandatory racer meeting at 8:00am in front of the
registration area!

Friday night festivities!!!!! Dont forget
Friday night! We are having some live music and good times at Rim Nordic. Bring
your friends and families over to come and hang out! Rim Nordic will have food
to warm the belly and we got good music to get the weekend
started!
