Jedi Master Super D

(posted by Jeff Stanners)

Last Sunday there was a grassroots Super D race out at Hulda Crooks in Loma Linda. Very low-key with no entry fee. There were, however, medals and even In-N-Out gift certificates to the winners. Most important it was a lot of fun. The race was put on by Van Geslani.

Cy was the declared overall winner. Van actually beat him by a few seconds, but didn't count himself in the results since he was putting on the event. Both guys were moving pretty fast. Here's the complete results...

Overall Race results

This will probably be a monthly race for awhile. If you're interested in racing you can get ahold of Van at the Jedi Super D Facebook Page.

You can see the course on Geoladders here:

I was too tired from the "6 Hours of Bootleg Canyon" the day before so I didn't race. I did go up and take pictures.

Live Strong Update - Tough times on 1400 mile journey

It's day 10 and Gerry is still rolling strong on his journey. At this point he is nearing 1000 miles, and as you can imagine, he's going through some pretty tough times. He sums it up with this:

"At this point, if it touches the bike, it hurts..."

Due to cold and exhaustion last night, he had to stop a little short of his destination and get some assistance to reach the hotel.

But true to Gerry's spirit, here's a short video of him riding back to where he stopped yesterday and continuing on his 1400 mile journey from where he left off. Now that's some serious dedication!

Hang in there Gerry... 4 days to go!

Be sure to check out these cool t-shirts you can purchase to help support the cause.

Live Strong - One Rider's Journey from California to Texas

Everyone once and a while I come across someone that has an idea that is crazier than anything I've ever had. In this case, it's our good friend Gerry Cody (Don's Bikes team member).

Gerry has decided to take the Live Strong Challenge, except he has also decided to ride his bike all the way from Santa Monica, California to Austin, Texas. When he arrives, he will join up with Lance and all of the others to participate in the event.

People, including myself, do these kinds of things for all kinds of reasons, but in this case it's Gerry's personal vendetta; to try to raise money to fight cancer.

So hats off to Gerry for undertaking this huge jouney and we wish him the best of luck. He's probably on the road at this very time...

The whole team supports Gerry 100% in this effort, and if you would like to donate to help him reach his goal, you can do so here.

Feel free to follow along for Gerry's latest blog posts and twitter updates.

Good luck my friend!
